Canadian rapper Drake has been in the NBA news constantly due to his role as the Toronto Raptors’ Global Brand Ambassador. Certainly, his supremely excited antics on the sideline catch the attention of fans the world over while simultaneously drawing the ire of opposing team’s coaches.

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer was extremely peeved by Drake’s shoulder-rubbing maneuvers on the sideline, while Warriors coach Steve Kerr claimed that assistant coach Mike Brown would “take him out” if he tried to rub Kerr’s shoulder during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Now, with Game 1 of the Finals on Canadian soil for the first time in NBA history, the NBA is likely to see more and more of Drake in the front row of Scotiabank Arena. However, there has been a notable change to Drake’s attire in Game 1.

For one thing, Drake is repping a vintage Dell Curry #30 Toronto Raptors jersey from the team’s Vince Carter era. However, peer a bit further and look at Drake’s left arm. Where there was once a Kevin Durant tattoo, there is now a simple armband in order to cover it up.

Of course, this makes sense, as Durant is currently playing for the Golden State Warriors – the Raptors’ Finals rival – but it shows how quickly Drake’s loyalty can sway. Of course, there can be questioning Drake’s loyalty to the Raptors, as he has an actual titled role with the team.

He might just need to rethink getting an NBA player-related tattoo in the future.
