Kawhi Leonard is getting a lot of love from fans in Toronto following his efforts in leading the Raptors to their first-ever NBA Finals appearance in 24 years. There's a mural in the city that's dedicated solely to him, with those people who made it giving him the title “King of the North.”

This is a reference to a popular character from Game of Thrones named Jon Snow, who is considered by his subordinates as a great leader who always knew what to do, even during the most pressure situations. Leonard is just like him for the Raptors this season. He helped the team to finish second in the Eastern Conference, then led them in a sensational playoff run that was capped off by pulling an upset against the Milwaukee Bucks, the team that had the best record in the league.

Now, Raptors fans are hoping that he can again spearhead the team in beating the two-time defending champions Golden State Warriors.

This is the first and possibly the only season of Leonard with the Raptors, but he's already achieved something that has never been done by guys like Vince Carter, Chris Bosh, and DeMar DeRozan. He's given everything he could for the city and the franchise, and that's something that will be highly appreciated whether they end up winning the NBA championship or not.

Game 1 of the best-of-seven NBA Finals series begins tonight.
