Kawhi Leonard will be one of the most coveted free agents this summer, but the Toronto Raptors superstar is thinking about his future yet.

Leonard could become a free agent if he opts out of the final year of his contract with the Raptors. The superstar forward is already being linked to several teams, but Dennis Robertson, Kawhi's uncle, insisted that they are not thinking of free agency at this point.

Robertson said that Leonard is focused on the current task at hand, which is to lead the Toronto Raptors in their first-ever trip to the NBA Finals. Uncle Dennis added that Leonard is enjoying the moment, and the opportunity to win a title again to cap the great year that he is having this season.

“We have a championship opportunity in front of us,” Robertson said via Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “We’re not thinking about free agency. It's the Warriors. Once we get through the season, we'll turn our attention to free agency.”

The Raptors made a huge gamble on Leonard before the 2018-19 NBA season. They gave up well-loved superstar DeMar DeRozan in a deal that sent Leonard to Toronto despite the fact that the latter could eventually end up as a one-year rental for Toronto.

The gamble seemed to have paid of at least for this season, as the Raptors made it into the NBA Finals. Toronto defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals to earn a date with defending champions Golden State Warriors in the finals.
