For the second straight day, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry declined to speak to the media following the team's practice.

A couple of things here. One, this isn't that big of a deal. Lowry is probably sick and tired of reporters asking him about DeMar DeRozan and how tough it was to lose his best friend. As long as he's coming to practice and being a professional, that's all that matters.

Secondly, a report surfaced claiming Lowry dodged calls and texts from president Masai Ujiri and head coach Nick Nurse over the summer. Lowry's camp probably saw the rumor spreading and Lowry most likely didn't want to address that either.

Kyle Lowry is definitely still upset at the Raptors. DeRozan was like a brother to him and they were a great backcourt duo. The manner in which Toronto traded DeRozan didn't sit well with Lowry. But again, it doesn't seem to be affecting his performance in practices and leadership style.

Lowry has also been getting a lot of questions about his new star teammate, Kawhi Leonard. He did his job on media day and answered all the questions from the reporters. It's time to move on from the DeRozan-Leonard trade and focus on the season.

Lowry has two years and roughly $65 million left on his contract. He averaged 16.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game last season.
