After surpassing Chris Bosh for second the Toronto Raptors' all-time scoring list, guard Kyle Lowry thanked the Hall of Fame finalist for what he's done to the organization, noting that it's an honor to mentioned alongside him.

Per Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports, Kyle Lowry admitted that he never actually gunned for taking the spot away from Bosh. But he acknowledged how wonderful the milestone is.

“To pass a guy that's a hall-of-fame finalist – shoutout to Chris Bosh and what he did for this franchise, just carried it for a while – to pass him is an honour. It's something I never shot for but it's amazing,” Kyle Lowry said.

The record books reveal that Kyle Lowry is some 3,000 points behind the leading scorer of the franchise who is none other than DeMar DeRozan.

Kyle Lowry isn't necessarily known to be a potent scorer. So it would be interesting to see how close Lowry will get to his good old friend.

Be as it may, Kyle Lowry will also be regarded as one of the greatest players to ever wear the Raptors jersey. To recall, he joined the team in the 2013-14 NBA season. He was one of the more reliable guards in the league who can both manage a system and score the ball.

The expression “Kyle Lowry over everything” has become a rallying cry for the Toronto fan base over the years, rooted in the idea that Lowry's heart and warrior spirit can overcome any obstacle. Lowry has defined himself chiefly by his tenacity and work ethic, doing everything possible to help his team win and fighting hard on defense and the boards when his shots aren't falling.

Over time, Lowry bloomed into an All-Star and guided the Raptors to multiple playoff appearances. For most of their playoff runs, they were stonewalled by LeBron James' teams. But in 2019, Kyle Lowry and the Raptors finally got their crack at an NBA Finals appearance. And we all know the story behind that.
