Raptors’ Marc Gasol relishing opportunity to face brother, Spurs’ Pau Gasol
The Gasol brothers are at different stages of their careers right now.
Marc, whom the Raptors acquired at the trade deadline from the Memphis Grizzlies, is expected to be a key figure for a Toronto team that is looking to make the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.
Pau, meanwhile, is on the tail end of his Hall of Fame career. The six-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion is only playing roughly 12 minutes per game this season for San Antonio.
If Pau gets some meaningful minutes on Friday, Marc is excited to play against the guy he looked up to his entire life.
Marc Gasol on facing his brother Pau on Friday: "It's even more fun now. The older you get the more you cherish it… I still want to kick his ass. That's nothing new, but now I get to enjoy it more."
