The Toronto Raptors find themselves in an early 2-1 hole against the Philadelphia 76ers, and with a crucial Game 4 coming up, the Raptors may be without arguably their second-best player. After being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game, Pascal Siakam offered some details on the nature of his calf injury.

According to TSN Sports’ Josh Lewenberg, Siakam said that he’ll be testing the calf during the team's practice today and again tomorrow morning, and is hopeful he can play. When asked if he thought he knew what happened, Siakam couldn’t pinpoint anything, but did note that it was the same leg that tripped up Joel Embiid and resulted in a flagrant foul.

“There was a lot of contact during the game so I don't know exactly when it happened,” he said.

When Raptors coach Nick Nurse spoke to the media, he said that he didn’t think there was anything structurally wrong with Siakam’s calf, and also stressed that he hasn’t been definitively ruled out yet. Still, Nurse did acknowledge that he is already pondering who to start among Fred VanVleet, Norman Powell, Serge Ibaka, and Patrick McCaw, but also admitted that none of those replacements for Siakam would leave Toronto in a good place matchup-wise.

Obviously, Siakam's calf is going to be something to keep an eye on, as the prohibitive Most Improved Player winner has been a huge piece for the Raptors on both sides of the ball this season, and been one of the most dynamic players in the postseason so far.
