The Toronto Raptors' COVID situation was one of the worst in the league, as they were without three key players to the rotation for over a week. According to The Athletic's Eric Koreen, the Raptors are going to be getting all three stars back on the practice court and in game action.

This is huge news for the Raptors. Stars Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes have all been sidelined in the COVID protocols for a little over a week of action. Each of them were cleared by the NBA and the city of Toronto to return to practice. All should have a chance to play Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Raptors were clearly missing each of VanVleet, Anunoby and Barnes, as they have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games with the three stars sidelined in the COVID protocols.

Toronto is still very much in the mix in the Eastern Conference, as they sit right behind the Boston Celtics for a spot in the play-in tournament. Now, with reinforcements coming out of the COVID protocols in the forms of VanVleet, Anunoby and Barnes, the Raptors will be in a position to begin rising up the standings.

The three Raptors stars make up for 55 of Toronto's 106.2 points per game average this season. Not only that, but each of them, VanVleet and Anunoby in particular, are vital to the team's success on the defensive end of the floor.

The Raptors' COVID situation took a positive turn with the news that Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes were all cleared to rejoin the team.
