After a promising 2021-22 season, the Toronto Raptors seem determined to keep Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby and run it back with their core team.

VanVleet is eligible to get a contract extension this offseason, with his current deal ending after 2022-23 since he has a player option for 2023-24. And according to Hoops Hype, the Raptors and FVV are “expected to discuss a possible contract extension” that will give him $89 million for the next three years.

For what it's worth, VanVleet could also opt out of his option for 2023-24 and get an extension worth $114.2 million of up to four years. Whatever he and the Raptors decide, though, one thing is clear: the star guard is not going anywhere.

As for Anunoby, he has been recently linked with the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers; however, it doesn't look like Toronto has any desire of parting ways with the defense-first swingman.

Per Hoops Hype:

The Toronto Raptors are not looking to trade OG Anunoby, league sources told HoopsHype. For Toronto to consider trading Anunoby, it would have to be a substantial trade package for the soon-to-be 25-year-old forward along the lines of a noteworthy upgrade at center or a top-10 draft pick.

The Raptors finished the 2021-22 season with a 48-34 record for the fifth seed in the East. While they were eliminated in the first round, the future certainly looks bright with the current roster they have.

With that said, it's not really a surprise why they want to keep Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby. FVV is just 28 years old and OG is 24, and they figure to be key parts of the team as they attempt to return to championship contention.
