It didn’t take long for Dez Bryant to decide where he wanted to go after the Dallas Cowboys released him. He said he wanted to stay inside the NFC East. That way, he gets to play the Cowboys twice next season. He’d get two shots to stick it to his old team.

But, it was hard to imagine him going to one team, the Washington Redskins, because of his old nemesis Josh Norman. But, according to Norman, he’d have no problem with Bryant joining the Skins.

It began back in 2015 while Norman was still with the Carolina Panthers. After holding Bryant to two catches for 26 yards (eight targets), Norman told the media that Dallas needed to get their money back from Bryant, who had just signed his $70 million contract in the offseason.

“Hey, they need to get Dez's 70 mil back.”

Bryant, being the ever-prideful guy that he is, fired back shortly after, and the rivalry was on. It got a little ugly on occasion on the field, but for the most part, it was just trash talk to reporters and on social media.

It hasn’t been as intense over the last year or so. But, if Bryant were to ever be under consideration to join the Redskins, it would come up. At least it should come up when he talks to the team. Better then than after he signs a contract and possibly has issues with Norman in the locker room.

Bryant has also expressed interest in signing with the New York Giants.
