Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins was the third signal-caller taken in the 2019 NFL Draft, slipping to the Washington Redskins at No. 15.

The other two quarterbacks taken ahead of him were Oklahoma's Kyler Murray, who went No. 1 overall to the Arizona Cardinals, and Duke's Daniel Jones, who surprisingly was taken by the New York Giants at No. 6.

However, ESPN's Mike Greenberg feels that Haskins is actually the best quarterback of this draft class.

“What I'm about to say right now, a bunch of things that I cannot believe even need to be said aloud in defense of the best quarterback in this year's draft class, and he is Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins,” Greenberg said on ESPN's Get Up!

There are some who would agree with Greenberg, as Haskins threw for 4,831 yards, 50 touchdowns, and eight interceptions during his sophomore campaign, completing 70 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 174.1.

“The young man checks every box,” added Greenberg. “He's 6-foot-3, he's 220, he has a cannon for an arm and if you ask anyone that has ever spent 10 consecutive seconds around him, they will tell you how smart and engaging he is, in fact, they will rave about it.”

While Murray may be the most dynamic athlete in the draft, it's hard to argue with Greenberg's assertion, as Haskins was, by far, the most productive signal-caller in this class.

Years from now, the Cardinals and the Giants may end up regretting that they passed on Haskins, as we don't know if Murray will translate into the NFL and Jones was not even all that productive in college.
