Free agent forward Ersan Ilyasova has agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Ilyasova had a great 2016-17 campaign, benefitting from his swap to the Philadelphia 76ers after starting the season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and later being traded to the Hawks prior to the trade deadline.

The Turkish forward averaged 13.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game during the season, showing his versatility as a stretch big man within the second unit.

The Hawks will use the 30-year-old veteran’s presence as they transition into a youth-infused rebuilding process after the departures of Dwight Howard, Paul Millsap, and Tim Hardaway Jr. — three of their key players last season.

Ilyasova holds career averages of 11 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, numbers that should hold up if he gets minutes around the mid-20s this upcoming season.
