Riot has recently teased about making an “emo band” after their successful music projects. This will follow amazing releases such as K/DA, Pentakill, and True Damage. After putting their efforts getting into metal, k-pop, and hip-hop, they will now tackle “emo” for their musical journey.
People took interest due to having a timely “vibe check” by the Riot Games Music Twitter. It got viral quickly within the League community.

emo band? 🤔
Riot Games tweeted the same day they announced the big music festival entitled “When We Were Young”. The festival showcases a lot of old-school bands, headlined by My Chemical Romance and Paramore. that people would be familiar with their teenage angsts. Most of the League players grew up with this type of music due to having almost the same generation when League debuted.
Riot always has this yearly music project they create. Last year was Pentakill’s third album, tied up with the release of Viego. Fans also await another Akali appearance as she was popular with K/DA and True Damage. It’s not surprising if Riot releases the band near October 22, 2022, the day of the festival.
Some of the League community are already predicting who will be joining the band. Vex would surely get top pick since she is designed to be “emo”. Honorable mentions would be Aphelios due to his looks as a boy with swept bangs. Another perfect consideration would be the saddest boy of them all, Amumu, The Sad Mummy. Last would be Morgana due to her having an angsty vibe within her.
The community is surely excited for this if it does push through. Riot Games Music has not confirmed it, but with the overwhelming positive feedback, they will highly consider doing it. For now, the League of Legends emo band music project is just an idea. Let’s see where this vibe check take us.
