The Houston Rockets have recently launched a new secondary logo which they intend to debut in the upcoming season. The news came straight from the Rockets' very own official Twitter account, which made the announcement/presentation via a brief 30-second video clip.

For good measure, the promotional clip even announced the schedule of the team's uniform reveal, which will be on June 20th.

Houston's branding and marketing team is surely keeping themselves busy in the summer, but perhaps, their efforts will pale in comparison to that of the Rockets front office this offseason.

Following another disappointing season, the top executives in Houston appear to be ready to hit the reset button on their entire team. Even superstar point guard Chris Paul appears to be on the trading block, along with every single member of the squad, save for reigning MVP James Harden.

Recently, head coach Mike D'Antoni's job tenure was also put into question by several media outfits. He was the easy scapegoat for Houston's shortcomings, but despite this, the veteran coach was given the all-important nod of confidence from both team owner Tillman Fertita and general manager Daryl Morey.

The new logo may look nice and all, but the Rockets will need to do a lot more than sprucing up their branding if they want to remain relevant in the NBA. They have hit a wall right now, and this summer will definitely prove to be pivotal in determining the future of the organization for years to come.
