Jalen Green's career with the Houston Rockets has been challenging, yet he has been up for it. He showcased some serious potential in his rookie season despite playing on a weak team. His hard work could lead the Rockets back to the playoffs eventually.

Rockets general manager Rafael Stone is super excited to see Green grow. Already, he said that only one player he has been around worked as hard as him. That player is James Harden, whose work on the Rockets led them to a lengthy stretch of title contention.

Stone's take should excite Rockets fans. Green showcased some great potential as a rookie, scoring with ease at times and putting up highlight-reel dunks constantly. He averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game as a rookie. The 20-year-old was just one of two rookies to average 17 points, along with Cade Cunningham.

Houston has more exciting players along with Green. Rookies Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason and TyTy Washington will join a young core that features Alperen Sengun and Josh Christopher. The uber-athletic shooting guard leads the charge and will most likely do so for this era of Houston basketball. His potential is extremely high, as he has shown flashes of being a good passer and impressive defender. However, he will have to show them more often in order to become a true star.

Jalen Green is excited to get to work with the Rockets and get them back into playoff contention. Although it will take time, he could be the guy that leads them back into the postseason and possibly into title contention.
