Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden went dark on Twitter in May, but he finally returned to the platform on Monday.

Harden tweeted out an image of himself in the gym, along with a short caption:

Harden picked an interesting time to return.

This offseason has already been rife with trade rumors involving the Rockets star, with multiple links to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Philly hired Doc Rivers as head coach and also named Daryl Morey president of basketball operations after he stepped down from that same position with the Rockets.

The Sixers' moves have led to some speculation the team will attempt to make a run at Harden this offseason. However, Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic previously reported any deal involving Harden would currently be a “non-starter” for the Rockets:

Houston is going through its own front-office overhaul.

Rafael Stone is taking over as general manager, and the team opted for former Dallas Mavericks assistant Stephen Silas as the next head coach.

Silas is regarded as a top offensive mind, which seems to bode well for Harden and the Rockets as they look to shake things up and get over the hump. But questions still remain with respect to their roster outlook.

It remains to be seen whether Houston will attempt to deal Russell Westbrook, or if Silas is content running out smaller rotations. The extreme small-ball strategy did not work well enough to conquer the eventual champion Lakers in the playoffs, and it looks like there will at least be some attempt to add some size to the roster.

Regardless, Harden still holds the keys as the franchise centerpiece. He seems just as locked in as ever despite the noise, if this latest tweet is any indication.
