With Russell Westbrook by his side on the Houston Rockets, James Harden expects to get more catch-and-shoot opportunities.

Per Salman Ali of ClutchPoints, Harden feels that Westbrook's ability to collapse the defense will lead to open catch-and-shoot chances. However, it would still depend on how defenses try to cover them.

All eyes are on the Rockets as they enter the Harden-Westbrook era. Not everyone is ecstatic about the team-up, as both players are ball-dominant and have a penchant for filling up the stat sheet.

The preseason games also didn't reveal much about how the two will coexist. Westbrook played sparingly, so there's little to be seen on what they can do together.

Houston and their fans are certainly pleased to have two former MVPs on their roster, but they very well know that basketball is a team sport. With that said, much of their success will depend on how Harden and Westbrook will thrive playing alongside each other.

Needless to say, it's going to be an exciting season for the Rockets. They've been considered one of the top teams in the league for the last few years, and this 2019-20 season, they have a good chance at snagging the title.

First things first though, they need to figure out how the Harden-Westbrook duo will work.
