James Harden was a little under the weather during their game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. Despite this, he dropped 47 points to lead the Houston Rockets to a 102-93 victory.

Sure enough, after the game, Harden jokingly tagged his performance as his flu game.

Harden also snagged six rebounds and dished out seven assists. He was 12-of-26 from the field, 7-of-13 from deep and 16-of-17 from the free-throw line. It was a close game most of the night, but in the fourth quarter, Harden took over and drained shot after shot which eventually closed the door on the Clippers.

In the young 2019-20 season, this is Harden's fifth game with at least 40 points. His season-high was a 59-point (two points short of his career-high) explosion against the Washington Wizards in October.

Nonetheless, more than his individual accolades, the Rockets proved that they can go toe-to-toe with the Clippers — a stacked-team that is expected to create serious waves this season. Despite the harsh criticism of their play style, the Rockets still managed to get it done.

The Rockets are now on a five-game winning streak with an 8-3 record. It will be interesting to see how they will power through the next games as Eric Gordon — one of their key players — will be out for six weeks an arthroscopic knee surgery.

Their next game is on Friday against the Indiana Pacers.
