In an extensive editorial piece written by Alex Wong of Bleacher Report, Houston Rockets small forward P.J. Tucker opened up about his massive sneaker collection, his love for shoes, and how he travels with so many different pairs of sneakers on road trips.

According to Rockets veteran shooting guard Eric Gordon, he is positive that he has not seen Tucker wear the same pair of shoes more than once.

“It's always something new every day,” Gordon said. “Every game. Every day. I bet he wears a different pair every single day.”

Tucker and star point guard Chris Paul, who grew up together as childhood friends, are constantly competing with each other when it comes to sneakers.

“In anything we do, Chris wants to win,” Tucker said of Paul's competitiveness. “He's just going to be the best at it. It's not like he's trying to do it, it's just something that's in him.”

When asked by Wong if he thought that he was the most dedicated sneakerhead in the entire NBA, Tucker just considered it a major part of his life.

“I don't know if I'm the most dedicated,” Tucker said. “I just do it. It's so natural. It's just a part of my life. It's something I do every day, whether it's emailing someone, direct-messaging people, looking at shoes or looking at other people's collections. I don't even think about it.”

Tucker, who uses a large case that holds up to 18 pairs of sneakers in order to take them on road trips, will travel with his Rockets teammates tonight to take on the white-hot Portland Trail Blazers in a nationally-televised contest.
