Russell Westbrook and the Houston Rockets practiced at UCLA on Thursday, the college Westbrook played at.

The UCLA basketball practice facility is called “Russell Westbrook Court.” The Rockets superstar says he's “blessed and thankful'” to have the UCLA practice facility named after him.

“It’s always a surreal feeling for me because of where I came from, what I was able to accomplish,” Westbrook said, via Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. “I take it all in. I’m extremely blessed and thankful to be able to have the opportunity to have my name on the floor on the court.

“You see all these legends, these people who are on the wall, Reggie Miller, Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar) and then I see my name on the floor, it’s unbelievable for me.”

Westbrook played two seasons at UCLA. He's become one of the best players in NBA history since entering the league back in 2008 and will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day.

In his first season with the Rockets, Westbrook is averaging 21.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.9 assists. The former MVP is shooting 41.6 percent from the field, 22.7 percent from beyond the arc and 71.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Westbrook, who has averaged a triple-double three seasons in a row, has five double-doubles and three triple-doubles on the season.

The Rockets are 11-4 after losing to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. Houston is in the third spot in the Western Conference standings.
