As this season's trade deadline draws near, teams around the NBA landscape are already looking for talented players who might bolster their respective lineups. The Philadelphia 76ers are on the lookout for an upgrade, and the Sixers are reportedly zeroed in on Sacramento Kings shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Robert Covington.

It's not clear who (or what) the Sixers might be willing to give up in deals for either Bogdanovic or Covington, but they're standing firm in regards to what's on the table:

Bogdanovic, 27, is now in his third season of NBA service. The Serbian-born guard has played well for the Kings this season, though the team is struggling with a 15-28 overall record. In his 32 appearances off the bench, Bogdanovic has racked up averages of 14.3 points on 42.4 percent shooting from the field (37.6 percent from beyond the arc), 3.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and a steal in 28.1 minutes per outing. If the Sixers are looking for a guard who can contribute off the bench down the stretch, Bogdanovic would be a fine candidate for the job.

Covington is another hot commodity at this season's trade deadline. He has familiarity with the Sixers, as he played for the organization in the past. He's a terrific defensive player, so he would have no problem fitting into the rotation. His 3-point shooting has declined a bit this season, however, which is a factor that Philly would need to consider. He shot the 3-ball at a 39.0 percent clip with the Sixers in the 2018-19 campaign before his trade to Minnesota, but he's down to 34.8 percent this season.

In 42 appearances with the Timberwolves this season, Covington has recorded averages of 12.7 points on 43.4 percent shooting from the field (34.8 percent from downtown), 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.7 steals in 29.1 minutes per outing.

For now, we'll have to wait and see if the Sixers make a move for either of these two players.
