Brandon Marshall has bounced around the NFL the last few years and is grateful to have another opportunity with the New Orleans Saints. Brandon Marshall at one point was one of the best wide receivers in the league but as he has gotten older he has lost a step, and it has led to fewer opportunities on the field.

“I've spent most of my career as the guy on top, All-Pro, Pro Bowl guy … and I'm at the bottom right now,” said Marshall via Mike Triplett of ESPN. “I got an amazing opportunity to go to the Seahawks. That was an amazing experience. I just wasn't healthy enough. So when you're on the other side of 30 and you don't produce, this is the situation you'll find yourself in. So I'm excited and grateful for this opportunity, and I love playing football, and it's something I want to continue to do.”

Marshall realizes that the perception of him is that he's done after his disappointing spell with the Seahawks. But he claims he's “healthy as a trout” and sounds eager to show he can still play at a high level.

The Saints have a young wide receiver corps and this seems like a really good opportunity for both sides. The Saints get a veteran and great locker room leader who is still trying to prove he can play at a high level and he is getting a chance to be on a playoff bound team, something he has never been a part of.
