New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is not looking happy with his team. In one of the most questionable uses of comic sans font in history, Thomas appears to shade the Saints in a cryptic post he shared via his Twitter account.

“They tried to damage your reputation. You saved theirs by not telling your side of the story,”

While Thomas did not specify the issue he is pertaining to with his post, it’s likely about his standing with the Saints. The two sides have not seen each other eye to eye with regards to Thomas’ decision to go under the knife last June in order to repair an ankle injury. The Saints originally advised Thomas to undergo surgery back in January, but he elected to have a second opinion first. That second opinion asked him to go through a “conservative approach” to avoid surgery. However, Thomas still ended up having his problematic ankle operated on last June when training camp was only just weeks away from starting.

This puts the Saints in a situation where they will not have their best receiver on the field during at least the first few weeks of the 2021 NFL season.

Thomas played just a total of seven games in the 2020 NFL season. He suffered the ankle injury right in the very first game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 then struggled to stay healthy the rest of the way.

Here’s hoping that Thomas will elaborate more on his feelings to clear the air and dial down the tension in New Orleans.
