Following reports saying the Saints were bringing in free agent cornerback Kayvon Webster for a visit, New Orleans will be working out another veteran corner today, as well.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Saints are bringing veteran cornerback Coty Sensabaugh in for a visit today.

Sensabaugh started 10 games for the Steelers last year. A former fourth-round pick of the Titans, he has also spent time with the Rams and Giants. When Pittsburgh signed Steve Nelson in free agency, it made Sensabaugh expendable.

Sensabaugh came in and started for Artie Burns when he got benched. If Sensabaugh signs with the Saints, it would be his fifth NFL team going into his eighth season.

Pelissero added another name in Prince Charles Iworah, a 2016 draft pick by the 49ers. Iworah (5-foot-11, 193 pounds), a high school running back, didn’t learn the cornerback until he walked on at Western Kentucky and did not start until his junior year.

Each of these players figures to be more of a depth addition, developmental project, or maybe a special teams-only contributor. They won’t be challenging Marshon Lattimore, Eli Apple, or Patrick Robinson for the starter’s spots at the top of the roster. Think of them more as competition for P.J. Williams, Ken Crawley, and other guys closer to the fringe of the roster.

Good teams keep tabs on the available free agents and regularly churn their lowest roster spots to field the best squad, so this seems to just be business as usual for a team that nearly went to the Super Bowl last season.
