Last season may have ended in disappointment for the Philadelphia 76ers as they failed to make the playoffs once again, but there were still a lot of positive takeaways for them and their fans. The debut of Joel Embiid and the promising play of Dario Saric gave the Philly faithful a lot to be hopeful about their team’s future.

After having one forgettable season after the other, trusting the process may start to pay off for the Sixers starting in October, as they are now one of the teams that will receive increased number of games shown on National TV. With the schedules released on Monday, Philadelphia will have a total of 23 that will be aired either on NBA TV, TNT or ESPN. To put into perspective how much they will have compared to some teams often featured in these networks each year, the 76ers will be seen 10 more times than the New York Knicks, who are only slated to appear in 13 games this coming season.

From winning only 10 games back in the 2015-2016 campaign, the Sixers increased it by 18 more last season, with their young core starring for them. Embiid and Saric emerged as their frontcourt of the future, as they had numerous impressive performances last year.

With the addition of top overall pick Markelle Fultz, J.J. Redick and Ben Simmons scheduled to debut for the team next season, the team is turning out to be a must-watch for basketball fans. Now with a good mix of veterans and young guns, they are geared to make a lot of noise in the Eastern Conference, and many are even projecting them to make the playoffs. It may still be too early to give predictions on how the 76ers will fare, but the good news for NBA fans is there will be more chances to see them play given the increased number of their nationally-televised games.
