Philadelphia 76ers All-Star big man Al Horford says the Boston Celtics reportedly alleging the Sixers of tampering is “ridiculous.”

Horford signed a four-year, $109 million contract with the Sixers. However, Danny Ainge and the Celtics are allegedly privately upset with how Philly handled Horford's free agency after the big man declined his $30.1 million option with Boston.

The Celtics can't complain about tampering whatsoever. They had a deal with Kemba Walker before free agency started on June 30. Boston is just upset they lost Al Horford to the rival Sixers, who are now title contenders.

Ainge and the Celtics pretty much knew Kyrie Irving was leaving for the Brooklyn Nets. However, no one inside the Celtics organization knew Horford was going to decline his 2019-20 player option and test free agency.

Did the Sixers tamper with Horford? Maybe. But it happens all over the league. Again, the Celtics can't have an agreement with Walker and then be upset with Philly for poaching Horford.

Philly has a nice Big 4 of Joel Embiid, Al Horford, Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris. With Kawhi Leonard in the Western Conference now, many believe the Sixers are the team to beat in the East.
