Philadelphia 76ers stud Ben Simmons is currently the most widely-held Australian in the NBA. So much so that his supporters have created a mural of the Sixers' reigning Rookie of the Year in his native of Melbourne, Australia.

The piece is so realistic that it so accurately depicts Simmons' real-life intensity. Simmons himself approves of the artwork and is seen posing alongside his 20-foot self.

The kangaroo chain just takes it to another level.

Born and raised in Melbourne, Simmons moved to the United States in 2013 at the age of 17. He played high school ball in Florida as part of the Monteverde Academy basketball program. The 6-foot-10 point forward spent his single year in college with the LSU Tigers where he would average 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists as a highly-touted freshman.

After being picked first overall by the Sixers in 2016, Simmons fractured the fifth metatarsal bone of his right foot in pre-season training camp, causing him to sit out the entirety of the 2016-17 season. He made his long-awaited debut last year and made up for lost time by averaging 15.8 points on 54.5 percent shooting, 8.1 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game on his way to becoming the 2018 Rookie of the Year.

This larger-than-life artwork is reminiscent of the infamous LeBron James “King of L.A.” mural that has since been the subject of unwarranted acts of vandalism. Hopefully, Simmons has far fewer haters in the Land Down Under as James has in his new hometown of Los Angeles.
