Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons had a dreadful night on Monday as the Sixers dropped Game 4 to the Washington Wizards. Simmons shot 5 for 11 from the charity stripe in the loss, which ultimately fit perfectly into DC's strategy.

They were literally fouling him constantly because of his inability to shoot from the line in this series. However, Simmons' confidence isn't wavering, via USA Today's Sixers Wire:

“Just step up and knock them down, for real,” he said. “That’s about it. I’m not discouraged going to the line so I got to knock them down. It is what it is so I just got to step up and knock them down.”

Some players might get irritated with being the primary target of hacking because it does disrupt the flow of an offense. The Sixers guard isn't fazed, though.

“No, I’m not upset, it’s basketball,” he added. “Nah, I’m not upset.”

Simmons is shooting just 25% from the line in the series and went 0 for 9 in his first three games. It's simply unacceptable that he's so inefficient in practically the easiest way to score, but it's also a great sign that Simmons is still showing belief in himself.

While Joel Embiid's status is unclear for the Sixers in Game 5 back in Philly, the team will be looking to close things out and advance to the second round as they currently hold a 3-1 lead against Bradley Beal and the Wizards.
