The Philadelphia 76ers have been the talk of the NBA recently thanks to their blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets. Bens Simmons is in Brooklyn and James Harden is with Philadelphia, and the two teams meet again in a few weeks. The Sixers host the Nets at Wells Fargo Center on March 10, a must-watch game.

Since the trade, a few Sixers have opened up to the media about the falling out between Simmons and his former team. Joel Embiid recently revealed that he tried to get Simmons to come back and be with the Sixers, but eventually gave up.

Danny Green weighed in on the situation during his most recent “Inside the Green Room” podcast, transcribed by Kyle Neubeck of the Philly Voice. The Sixers small forward said he doesn't expect the teams to shake hands before the game, and he would be surprised to see Simmons play on March 10.

“Now will we shake hands to start? Probably not. First, I'd be highly surprised if he even plays in that game.”

Green knows what it's like to be on both sides of the Philadelphia fan base. This is Green's second season in Philly, but he also knows what it's like to be the away team at the Wells Fargo Center. He said if Simmons does play, it won't be pretty.

“If he does play in that game, I'd be highly surprised. But say that does happen, I see it as being a very hectic, playoff-like atmosphere and environment to where it may be very rough for him.”

Green said that he isn't wasting time or energy hating Simmons, and he's prepared to welcome Simmons if he “shows love” when he returns to Philadelphia.
