It seems that Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid's frustrations are mounting against the Los Angeles Lakers at Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday.

Shortly after being on the receiving end of a LeBron James' push in an earlier possession, the Cameroonian center looked like he got even by committing a flagrant foul of his own against Anthony Davis.

In the midway part of the third period of the intense match between the leaders of their respective conferences, JoJo attacked the cup and hit AD with a wayward elbow right in his face. Embiid was called for charging and was assessed with a flagrant foul 1, which allowed him to stay on the floor.

There were some concerns for Philly after their All-Star center hit the deck pretty hard in the previous sequence. Embiid, who's had back issues in the past, landed violently after LeBron pushed him mid-air. The Lakers superstar was also assessed with a flagrant foul 1 in that possession.

Things are certainly getting physical in The City of Brotherly Love. Luckily for both teams, their two best players were not tossed out of the ball game following their respective infractions. Embiid has been big for the Sixers' red-hot start this season, notching 27.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks prior to Wednesday's match.
