After the loss to the Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid sent out an angry and cryptic message via Instagram stories.

Below is a screenshot of the message, as posted by Zach Harper of Count the Dings:

Embiid, in fact, did not play in Game 2 which may be the reason for his frustrations. It should be recalled that Embiid had already cleared the concussion protocol but was still ruled out to play Game 2. The All-Star center was even saying that he feels good about his chances of playing in the second game. He is out with an orbital bone fracture which he sustained late March.

To recall, Embiid was not allowed to play back-to-back games during the beginning of the season. This was a cautionary measure done by the Sixers to take care of him given his injury history.

Embiid is definitely the next big thing for the Sixers. They know this for a fact. But they are well aware, too, that the big man is injury prone.

Embiid does not seem to fully understand this. But he has his valid reasons. He simply wants to help his team out. Being on the bench is not something he wants. He wants to be out there with his teammates, bumping bodies, scoring, dishing out, snagging rebounds, and intimidating his foes.
