The Philadelphia Eagles opened the defense of their Super Bowl crown on Thursday with an 18-12 win at home over the Atlanta Falcons. The game was generally hard to watch because of its sloppy nature and the disappointing performances under center by both teams’ quarterbacks, but at least one of them, Eagles signal-caller Nick Foles, managed to author a highlight that left Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid gushing on Twitter.

Oh yes, the Eagles did it again. In the middle of the third quarter, Doug Pederson instructed his team to run the same trick play that gave the New England Patriots nightmares back in Super Bowl 52, and Nick Foles and company proceeded to execute it perfectly.

With the Eagles needing a spark as they trail Atlanta, 6-3, wide receiver Nelson Agholor took the ball while running on a reverse and heaved a pass downfield to Foles for a 15-yard pass completion.  Some plays later, Eagles running back Jay Ajayi scored a touchdown to put his team in front.

Foles didn’t play a great game, as he only finished with 117 passing yards with zero touchdowns and an interception on 19-of-34 completions, but Joel Embiid and Eagles fans won’t likely remember it as much as the trick play the quarterback helped pull off – again.

The Sixers big man might want to reminisce that Super Bowl trick play, so here it is.
