When Joel Embiid was first selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2014 NBA Draft, he shared he was ‘trying to get with this famous girl,' which turned out to be Rihanna. Unfortunately, the singer told him to ‘come back when you're a All-Star.'

Fast forward to 2018 and Embiid was named to his first All-Star Game in Los Angeles, but said he moved on from his crush. It appears the 24-year-old still has feelings for her as he decided to shoot his shot at her once again on Twitter:

After undergoing successful surgery to repair a fractured orbital, it is unclear what state of mind Embiid was in when he sent that tweet. Now, all Embiid fans will be patiently waiting for Rihanna to hopefully respond to the now one-time All-Star.

As Embiid is shooting his shot off the court, it is unclear how long he will be out following his latest injury. While the hope is he can return in two weeks, that is the earliest return timetable and everything has to go according to plan.

For Ben Simmons and company, they will look to navigate through the final seven games of the season in hopes of securing homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Without Embiid, head coach Brett Brown has concerns about the team's defense as they can move up on the Cleveland Cavaliers or lose homecourt advantage to the Indiana Pacers.

Embiid is averaging 22.9 points and 11.0 rebounds in 63 appearances.
