Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has yet to back down from any trash talk with his peers, whether it is on the court or over the web. The same applies to the constant heckling he's received at the TD Garden in Boston, constantly pestered by the taunting from a diehard Celtics fanbase that has taken every chance to get into the Sixers big man's head throughout the series.

Yet the Sixers' talisman claims it isn't something he's concerned with, rather thriving off the heckling from the fans.

“I thrive in that type of situation,” said Embiid, who led his team with 27 points and 12 rebounds in a Game 5 loss, that eliminated them on Wednesday night, per Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated. “When they act like that and say that I suck, I want to show them that I don't. That I'm much better than you guys think. And I know they know that too.”

Embiid has done his part in the series, putting up a double-double every night and averaging 23 points and 14 rebounds for the series, but it didn't prove enough to topple a Celtics team that has grown more and more confident with each playoff game, allowing young players to rise to the moment in what has been an unlikely run to the Eastern Conference Finals.
