With the FIFA World Cup Finals just weeks away, Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid has already gotten on the world football hype train.

The Cameroonian was one of millions of fans throughout the world who witnessed Spanish outfit Real Madrid take home the UEFA Champions League trophy for a third consecutive year on Saturday night. The victory was in large part due to the outstanding performance of Welshman Gareth Bale who came on as a second half substitute to score two amazing goals to lead his team to glory.

After Bale's heroics, Embiid gave some unsolicited advice to the Real Madrid front office:

Embiid knows his football and he is well aware of the fact that the talents of Bale have been considered as surplus to requirements this season and that he has been heavily linked to a move away from the Spanish capital. The 7-foot big man strongly believes that Real Madrid would be wrong to offload the enigmatic forward and that his performance in the Final is testament to the fact that he deserves a place in the squad.

Embiid himself is not unfamiliar with having to prove one's self on the world stage after sitting out the entirety of his first year as an NBA player due to injury.

The former Kansas standout was under a lot of pressure to prove his worth coming into the succeeding season with questions raised regarding his health. The Process lived up to the hype, and despite playing only 31 games that year, he showed the world why he deserved the number three overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Embiid followed up his stellar rookie campaign with another big year in the 2017-18 season bringing the Sixers to the Playoffs for the first time in six years.
