It was pretty clear that the Philadelphia 76ers will be going after shooters this offseason, the moment that former Houston Rockets executive Daryl Morey took over as president of basketball operations for the Sixers. It didn't take long for Morey to make a splash, acquiring sharpshooter Seth Curry from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Josh Richardson and the No. 36 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

With the 2020-21 campaign set to begin in two weeks, it looks like the newly-acquired Curry is already getting his reps alongside the Sixers' two superstars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Per Ky Carlin of Yahoo Sports, the 30-year-old guard revealed that he already knows what his role will be playing alongside the Sixers' two All-Stars:

“I was with them a lot,” Curry said. “They put the team together to give them as much space as possible and I’m one of those guys that can, hopefully, take some pressure off of them by giving them space and being able to make plays here and there. The process of getting to learn their games and where they like guys to be, where they would like to get the ball so it’s gonna take some time for a lot of new guys to get used to playing with them, but it’s exciting because anytime on the floor with two of the greatest players in the league, right now, it makes my job easier.”

One of the Sixers' biggest problems in their underachieving year last season was their lack of knockdown shooters. Defenses focused greatly on Embiid and Simmons simply because they didn't have a lot of players who can space the floor and hit open shots. The Sixers couldn't have gotten a much better guy to fill this gap, since Seth was one of the most accurate shooters in the league in 2019-20. The younger Curry shot 45.2 percent from downtown for the Mavs, while pitching in 12.4 points off the bench.

Seth Curry has indeed come to his own the last few seasons, and playing alongside Embiid and Simmons should aid in his development further.
