It seems like another former member of the Houston Rockets could join the Philadelphia 76ers' front office. After the recent news of the Sixers finalizing a deal to sign Daryl Morey to oversee their basketball operations, it's also being reported that Shane Battier might be on his way to Philly to join him.

Per Tom Haberstroh of  NBC Sports, the 42-year old is one of the names to watch to possibly join Morey's new team in the City of Brotherly Love. Battier won two NBA rings with the Miami Heat and has been part of the Heat's front office as Miami's VP of Basketball Development and Analytics since 2017.

In his 13-year career in the NBA, Battier spent five years in Texas as an integral part of the Rockets roster. The two-time NBA champion was also in Houston when Morey first entered the fray as their GM in 2007. Though it seems as if Battier's tenure in Miami has been stable and secure, a move to join a rebuilding Sixers front office should be enticing, to say the least.

Alongside Morey, he could also joined newly acquired head coach Doc Rivers.

A move to Philadelphia would also bring Battier closer to current Sixers GM Elton Brand, whom he spent a couple of years at Duke University before Brand joined the NBA in 1999.

Morey, Rivers, Brand and possibly Battier would form quite a super team in the Sixers' front office and should do wonders for the development of Philly's young core led by superstars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
