In recent days, there have been rumors swirling that the Philadelphia 76ers could be interested in a blockbuster deal involving John Wall and Ben Simmons. After all, the Houston Rockets just made it known they're exploring trade options for Wall, while Simmons is clearly unhappy with the Sixers, despite their desire to keep him because of the lack of worthy packages out there.

However, according to sources close to Marc Stein, Philly has no intentions of pursuing Wall at this moment in time:

I was told very clearly that the Sixers do not liken these circumstances to Al Horford's last season in Oklahoma City or John Wall's in Houston. As the start of training camp draws near, Philadelphia has shown zero interest to date in striking the sort of mutual agreement that Wall and the Rockets just hatched to shelve the former All-Star point guard.

The Sixers are currently at a standstill with Simmons after he made it crystal clear again on Tuesday that he won't report to training camp nor play another game for the franchise. The Rockets would actually be a decent fit for him because he's still young enough at 25 to headline their current core. However, it doesn't seem like it's going to be in the cards.

This whole Ben Simmons saga with the Sixers is far from over, but don't expect John Wall to be dishing dimes to Joel Embiid anytime soon.
