Philadelphia 76ers phenom Ben Simmons is the latest opposing player to earn the honor of receiving a sweaty, game-worn basketball uniform. After his team's 106-102 win over the Miami Heat at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, the Sixers star exchanged jerseys with retiring legend Dwyane Wade.

Wade has made a habit out of swapping jerseys with opposing players during his farewell tour. Previous participants in the exchange were the Oklahoma City Thunder's Paul George and the Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal.

The 37-year-old shed light on his approach to the post-game ceremony back in October.

“I got the schedule, so I know who we’re playing and I know who’s on that team that I have a relationship with,” Wade said, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “Then I go to them before the game or they come to me.”

It speaks of Wade's easygoing nature during his final NBA go-around that he'd feel comfortable engaging in such pleasantries after a hard-fought loss. He had a team-high 19 points, four rebounds, and six assists on 8-of-18 shooting against Philadelphia, playing more than 30 minutes for the first time since December.

Simmons, meanwhile, stepped up in the absence of Joel Embiid, sidelined with lingering soreness in his left knee. The reigning Rookie of the Year had 21 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in a game-high 38 minutes of play.
