In his first season in the league, Philadelphia 76ers rookie point guard Ben Simmons has gotten off to quite a promising start to his NBA career.

Simmons has shown to be an all-around talent, which he put on display on Thursday night against the Boston Celtics after making a steal and slamming it home giving his best Michael Jordan impression.

It was an impressive play as he took off from near the dotted circle and threw it down with ease in transition. Simmons possesses some unique athleticism combined with his size standing at 6-foot-10 with a 7-foot wingspan that makes plays like this a normalcy.

The 21-year-old has taken the league by storm with his play through the first several weeks of this season helping lead the 76ers to a strong start. He has continued to put up all-around numbers averaging 18.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game.

Simmons is the rookie to score at least 10 points in his first 19 career games since All-Star forward Blake Griffin. He also leads all rookies with 12 double-doubles along with tallying a pair of triple-doubles.

With him at the helm alongside Joel Embiid, the 76ers have an opportunity to develop into something special over the next several seasons.
