Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid heard some boos from the Sixers crowd on Tuesday.

To recall, Embiid recently shared a cryptic post on Instagram, in which it looked like Jimmy Butler was recruiting him to the Miami Heat. In a followup tweet, JoJo made Sixers fans know he is committed to the team by saying he is “PHILA TOUGH.”

Embiid and the Sixers were booed on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls, but Philly still wound up winning the game. The Cameroonian big man told the crowd to hush after they celebrated his made 3-pointer.

It has caused some unnecessary drama for the Sixers, and this latest booing from the home crowd will add only more fuel to it.

The Sixers haven’t looked like title contenders in a campaign where they were expected to at least get to the Eastern Conference Finals. Embiid’s fit with Ben Simmons and now Al Horford continues to worry both the organization and the fans.

Right now, the Sixers are fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. Joel Embiid is still working on getting back in shape after missing some time due to a left hand injury.

It is worth noting that since returning to the lineup late in January, Jojo is averaging 20.3 points and 10.6 rebounds while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from beyond the arc.
