Miami Heat All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler appears to be recruiting Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid to Miami.

Butler signed with the Heat this past summer in free agency. The Sixers and Miami agreed to a sign-and-trade deal. Butler got his money and landed in South Beach, while Embiid and the Sixers acquired combo guard Josh Richardson from Miami.

Embiid has said a few times this season he wishes Butler stayed with the Sixers. Butler, meanwhile, has hinted that something behind the scenes happened in Philly which led to his departure.

Either way, Butler and Embiid are still really good friends despite not being teammates anymore.

Embiid and the Sixers were booed on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls, but still wound up winning. Embiid silencing the Philly crowd after hitting a big 3 in the fourth quarter has been a big topic of discussion, but it really sounds like everyone is overreacting since the Sixers haven't looked like a title contender this season.

Embiid's fit with Al Horford and Ben Simmons hasn't been smooth. It's highly unlikely, though, the Sixers would trade Embiid or Simmons. After all, both guys are young and All-Stars.

However, if Philly gives off a vibe in league circles that Embiid is available, you can bet that Butler and Heat president Pat Riley will be all over it.
