The NBA and some of it's bigger name international players have been in South Africa the last couple of weeks in preparation for the NBA Africa game that took place on Saturday morning/afternoon (U.S. time). Team World, led by LA Clippers and Italian forward Danilo Gallinari, defeated Team Africa, who was led by Philadelphia 76ers and Cameroonian center Joel Embiid.

Players stuck around, doing a couple tours while also contributing some charity work as well. On Sunday, some of the players went to visit a lion park, where lions ranging from full grown adults to baby cubs were being taken care of and available for interactions.

Joel Embiid was enjoying petting a particular cub until the young one decided to get a little bite out of Embiid. At first, it appeared as though the bite was soft with Embiid showing off a little pain tolerance. The cub, who probably does a lot of gnawing on things as he continues teething, took a harder bite as Embiid yelled in pain.

Along with Embiid, Gallinari also made a few friends during the Africa trip, petting a pair of lion cubs on his lap. One of them also appeared to take a bite at his shorts.

All in all, this looks like another successful trip for the NBA in South Africa as they continue to grow the game and league at the international level.
