Entering the game on Tuesday against the Miami Heat, Joel Embiid is once again expected to be relied upon heavily by the Philadelphia 76ers to lead them to a road victory. He has been able to remain healthy this year and has proven that he can be his team’s go-to-guy, especially when the game is on the line. However, the All-Star center already gave a warning during their morning shootaround that he may have a bad game on the night.

Embiid, who is one of the most hilarious figures in the NBA, revealed that his weakness are the Heat dancers, which he even said are the best in the league today. He then said, via a recent Instagram story, that seeing them could cause him to have a subpar performance.

Of course, Embiid was exaggerating about it, as he has shown he is always professional, and competes very hard for his team with his will to win. In the 47 games he’s played in this season, he is averaging impressive numbers of 23.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 blocks in 31.4 minutes. With the Sixers coming off a loss against the Washington Wizards last Sunday, they are expected to be fired up to bounce back from it and give their best effort in South Beach.

It remains to be seen how they will respond after seeing their seven-game winning streak snapped over the weekend. One thing their coaching staff may want to keep an eye on as well is Embiid’s attention, as he could get distracted while watching the Heat dancers perform.
