For the first time in several years, the Philadelphia 76ers are still playing meaningful basketball at this point of the season. Powered by two of the best youngsters in the league in point guard Ben Simmons and center Joel Embiid, the Sixers did not just reach the playoffs – they notched a no. 3 seed. That would have sounded hilarious and unbelievable at the same time a year ago, but the Sixers have spent the entire season proving they are more than just hype.

The City of Brotherly Love is clearly excited of its team and the success that it is having has prompted a number of Philadelphia celebrities and Sixers supporters to star in a promotional hype video for the Sixers’ campaign in the playoffs. Among them are actor Will Smith, comedian Kevin Hart, and rapper Lil Dicky.

The Sixers have passed their first test of this postseason, eliminating the Miami Heat in the first round, four games to one. They have a tougher assignment today, as they are facing the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals, which kicked off Monday night at TD Garden in Beantown.

Prior to this season, the last time the Sixers made it to the postseason was way back in 2012.
