The Manchester United board has always shown faith in manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and despite the club's dreadful spell of form, it appears that hasn't changed.

The Norwegian ran the Red Devils' training session on Tuesday at Carrington and will be in charge for this weekend's clash with Tottenham, per Fabrizio Romano:

Although he will be in the dugout against Spurs, if another disappointing result occurs, it's hard to imagine Manchester United sticking with Solskjaer past the weekend. After all, they were just dismantled by Liverpool in a truly historic and embarrassing 5-0 performance.

As Romano noted, legendary gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson was also at the training grounds to support Solskjaer, who played under the Scot at Old Trafford back in the glory days.

Manchester United reportedly made their first contact with Antonio Conte on Monday, who is the favorite to take over if Solskjaer is ultimately sacked. Following the side's defeat on the weekend, they now sit in seventh place in the Premier League table and trail league-leaders Chelsea by a whole eight points.

Manchester United have now tasted defeat in four of their last seven games and also have a few very tough fixtures ahead. After Tottenham, the Red Devils face Atalanta in UCL action next week followed by a Manchester derby against City next Saturday.
