The Euro 2020 has been a fabulous tournament. On Tuesday, Sweden and Ukraine embarked to finish out the Round of 16. The score was knotted up at the end of regulation, forcing 30 minutes of extra play. That is when an unfortunate injury happened on a dangerous play by Marcus Danielson, who ended up with a red card.

The injury was devastating and brought a multitude of reactions from the world of Twitter.

Some of the reactions were a bit uncanny, although the injury was gruesome and painful.

The fact that Danielson even contested it in any way is what is most surprising. It was as clear as a red card could possibly get, and Danielson's response brought about some reactions as well.

The injury definitely created quite a stir, and Sweden was down one player after the red card. More reactions piled in as well.

It turned out to work in the favor of Ukraine, as they scored the game-winning goal just minutes before penalty kicks were going to take place.

Still, an awful play from Marcus Danielson, who will kick himself for a long time after the loss and the play resulted in them playing one man down for the remainder of the match.
