This is the first time in the playoffs for a number of Hawks players, not just Young.</p><p>Young finished the game with 32 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the field. He added 10 assists to just two turnovers against an elite Knicks defense. The Hawks star made a number of big plays down the stretch in addition to his game-winner, both for himself and for others.</p><p>Atlanta will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead when the two teams get together for Game 2 on Wednesday. Nonetheless, Mann has shown that he can do so with his production.</p><p>Mann’s minutes have spiked up to <a href="https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mannte01/gamelog/2021/#81-88-sum:pgl_basic">28.4 per game</a> over the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/los-angeles-clippers/schedule">past eight games</a> for LA, where he has seen at least 20 minutes of action a night. Over that stretch, the 6-foot-5 guard hasn’t wasted his opportunity and is putting up 14.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 54.5 percent from the field.</p><p>It was definitely encouraging for Mann to see his minutes stay in the high 20’s in their 101-94 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The former 2nd round pick saw extended playing time in their two games prior to Friday, with Paul George sitting out. Against the Nuggets, Mann logged a well-earned 27 minutes for the Clippers in his efficient and productive night. He shot 8-of-10 from the field to score 18 points and six rebounds in the 7-point loss.</p><p>Not many second rounders and four-year college players like Mann end up staying in the NBA for long. However, over these last couple of weeks, the 24-year old has really showcased that he can be a legitimate rotation player in the league. Atlanta needed two overtime periods to secure the W and Williams’ 22 minutes off-the-bench was key for Young and the rest of the team. As the point guard mentioned, Williams was a key facilitator in his first win for his new squad. He dished out five assists and had seven points on a rather rough shooting evening.</p><p>The win puts the Hawks at .500 as they <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/atlanta-hawks/records">continue to hang on</a> to the seventh spot of the Eastern Conference. He played two seasons for the Hawks between 2012 and 2014. The vet has been around the block quite a bit, with Williams playing for no less than six different NBA teams throughout his career.</p><p>It’s not all about scoring for Williams as well. The Hawks sent Rajon Rondo to the Los Angeles Clippers, who for their part also included two future second-round picks as part of the package.</p><p>The Hawks are currently battling for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and the arrival of a guy like Williams should certainly help their cause.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
