DeMar DeRozan ended his stint with the Toronto Raptors with a heartbreak. But the San Antonio Spurs and its community have welcomed with open arms via a mural.

Below is a photo of DeRozan's mural in San Antonio:

DeRozan hasn't even played a single game for the Spurs and he's already getting some love. And he deserves every single ounce of it.

The mural is actually located at Rudy's Seafood. They commissioned artist Nik Soupé for the artwork. Apart from DeRozan, they also have other Spurs legends including Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Gregg Popovich.

They also have a George Gervin mural, too:

With San Antonio's warm welcome, hopefully, DeRozan has moved on from that sad ending with the Raptors. But apart from viewing it as a welcome, DeRozan should also see it as a challenge.

Several critics have counted out the Spurs this season. They believe that for the first time in 21 years, they will not make it to the playoffs.

They cited several reasons such as age and the fact that the Western Conference will be extremely competitive this season. Though their reasons are valid, they shouldn't count out DeRozan and the Spurs. Save for Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard, they still have everyone coming back and that includes Popovich — one of the greatest coaches in history.
