San Antonio Spurs swingman DeMar DeRozan got two video tributes from the Toronto Raptors. And he's more than pleased that he got that much love from his former team.
“I don’t know anybody else who has had two video tributes in a row. Find somebody who has had that.” Said he appreciated the people here in Toronto.

It was a classy gesture by the organization. It's been two seasons since they traded DeMar DeRozan to the Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard. DeRozan himself was caught by surprise, noting that no one alerted him of what was about to go down.
Though he understood the nature of the business, the Compton native nevertheless felt emotional. After all, he had spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Raptors. He was one of the key players which turned the squad into a perennial playoff contender.
They never got past the East Finals as they were in the middle of the NBA Finals run by LeBron James. Nevertheless, DeRozan established himself as one of the greatest to ever don the Raptors jersey. Along the way, he also forged a lifetime friendship with star guard Kyle Lowry.
But now, the Raptors and DeRozan seem to have patched things up. Perhaps the Raptors knew that they did DeRozan dirty with that trade. And they're trying their best, by way of such tribute videos to make up for him.
